Sunlight, a softbox, and a model

Lately I have heard some photographers say, “There should be one light source because there is only one sun. Anything else looks artificial.” I couldn’t disagree more. The sun can even be the secondary light source. It can act as a rim light – or ambient light

Then introduce a softbox – or even a reflector. Mold and create light. These photographs were taken around 2pm – not the ideal time to photograph outdoors. But I was able to use a softbox to create light that worked.
